Pre-sales Consultant

Your role
The Pre-sales Consultant is responsible for the right positioning of our Data Quality software solutions and best practices at our (future) customers. You achieve this by supporting the management and customers' business owners in defining and subsequently offering (integrated) solutions.

In your role as a Pre-Sales Consultant you act as a trusted advisor to customers. Furthermore, you are able to convert customer data quality and integration issues into practical solutions and the accompanying implementation. You work closely together with our account managers on developing sales strategies for particular customers/business sectors. To realize this you establish specific needs and problems of a customer/business sector in question and combine this knowledge with the benefits of our software. You also contribute to the general/functional designs of the solutions and are co-responsible for submitting quotations.

Next to selling our software solutions and in your role as a participating (project) leader you are responsible for a smooth handover to our implementation consultants. The consultants will be responsible for the implementation process like working on functional designs, process descriptions, developing and implementing solutions and including after-sales. You play as it were a key role as an intermediary between account managers, customers, software engineers and other consultants who ensure successful implementation.

The candidate
In order to qualify for this position, you have/are:
• A professional or academic (or (Fach)Hochschulausbildung) thinking and working level (in commercial or technical areas)
• A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position
• Inside knowledge of and insight into the importance of customer data integration and quality and related issues
• Knowledge of business issues and processes, such as CRM, Marketing, Compliance, and Risk Management in which data quality plays an important role
• A minimum of 3 years experience in managing project teams
• Basic knowledge of and experience in modern databases and development environments (e.g. SAP, Oracle, SQL Server, PL/SQL)
• Practical knowledge of SOA (Service Oriented Architecture)
• Basic knowledge of common operating systems (incl. Unix and Windows NT)
• Fluent knowledge of the German and English language, both in speech and in writing
• Flexible with respect to traveling
